After completing the application form, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has shared the figure of how many candidates have submitted their applications for 4543 vacancies of sub -inspector posts. According to officials, this year, 1575760 candidates have registered themselves for the recruitment drive, for which the registration process was conducted online.

According to official data, about 15.8 lakh candidates presented their forms for UP SI Recruitment 2025. The ratio of the candidates’ vacancies is around 347: 1, which means that about 347 candidates will compete for each available post. Candidates who have submitted their applications should start their preparations with the C Syllabus updated to secure good marks.
Along with such a large number of candidates, candidates are advised to focus on their preparation and strategic time management. It is important to practice mock tests, stay updated on current events and maintain physical fitness.
Up police SI selection process
The recruitment process will include several stages designed to assess both physical and intellectual abilities of applicants. Selection will be done through written examination, document verification (DV), Physical Standards Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test, Medical Examination and Character Verification.
Online Written Examination- Candidates should clean up subjects covering computer-based tests such as general knowledge, numerical ability, logic and current affairs.
Document Verification and Physical Standards Testing (PST)- Shortlisted candidates must meet height, chest and weight standards.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)- Tests such as running and other endurance activities will estimate the fitness of the candidates.
medical examination- A final medical check will ensure that only fit candidates are appointed.
