Age limit (on 01 April 2025):
- Maximum: 65 years
- Rest: Up to 69 years for qualified candidates
Educational Qualification:
- Ship repair,
- Mechanical, Marine, Naval Architecture, Electrical, Electronics or Finger Bachelor’s Degree in Production Engineering
- Amy also accepted (nominated before 31 May 2013)
- Yard modernization post,
- Full -time bachelor’s degree (or concerned citizen/structural field) in civil engineering

Necessary experience:
- Ship repair,
- At least 22 years of work experience
- A Shipyard/Minimum 8 years in a senior role in the Indian Navy/Ministry of Defense
- Specialization in ship repair, refit, construction, seller growth, cost estimate and bid compilation
- Yard modernization,
- Minimum 22 years in Civil Infrastructure Project Engineering, Contract, and Project Management in Shipbuilding
