The Directorate of Higher Education is ready to send the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) to send about 1,232 vacant posts for assistant professors in government colleges in the month of June 2025. Earlier, DHE, UP had already requested recruitment to 562 UP for 1,800.
This large-scale UPPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025 aims to fill the teaching posts in existing colleges as well as 71 newly established government colleges. Two of these colleges are under construction and will be operational from the next academic session, while the remaining 69 colleges will start functioning from 2025-26 session. The UP state government has already created posts for these institutions, and the recruitment process is expected to start soon.
UPPSC Assistant Professor New Exam Pattern
Earlier, the selection process for UPPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment was based on an interview and a screening test. However, UPPSC is now planning to introduce a three-level examination system, including:
- preliminary examination
- Main examination
- Interview
Sources indicate that the Department of Personnel has approved the new format, and now it is awaiting cabinet approval. Once finalized, the Commission is expected to release UPPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment Advertisement within two months.
