Gate Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech
- Candidates who pass the gate exam can apply for M.Tech courses in various IITs, NITs and IIITs, and select CFTIS. There is no separate counseling process especially for the gate.
- To go to M.Tech courses in IITs, candidates are required to register for the GATE examination through the general proposal acceptance portal (COAP). This process is done separately and the instructions given to the candidates should be followed.
- Those who want to join NITs, IIITs and some CFTI for M.Tech programs will have to apply for M.Tech 2026 (CCMT) through centralized consultation.
