After four long years, Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is finally back and is a major moment to teach candidates across the state. Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission has officially announced the dates of UPTET 2025-26 examination in its latest meeting held on 1 August 2025. The test is scheduled for 29 and 30 January 2026, and with this announcement, the preparation is now turning into high gear. Along with the uptate, the dates for the UP TGT and PGT exams have also been confirmed, which creates a pack recruitment calendar to teach expectations.

the wait is over. In its 33rd meeting, the Commission confirmed that the UPTET 2025 exam would be held on 29 January and 30 January 2026. This is the first time the uptate is being held since its final version, which marks a significant return for one of the most important eligibility tests in the state.

What is UPTET exam 2025?
UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) is a state-level qualifying examination to teach candidates who want to work in class 1 to 8 in government schools. It is organized by the Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission and includes two letters:
- Paper I: For those candidates who want to teach class 1 to 5 (primary level)
- Paper II: For candidates with the aim of teaching class 6 to 8 (upper primary level)
- Candidates may appear in one or both papers based on their eligibility and teaching goals.
