Get for Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET):
There will be separate sections of online testing (CBT):
- One segment – Subject knowledge (based on your engineering degree subjects): Most of the weight – 80% bear
- Section B – General Knowledge and Current Affairs
- Block C – English language
- Section D – Logic and numerical capacity
For Assistant Officer Trainee (AOT):
The test includes the following sections:
- One segment – General knowledge (topics like Indian and global energy sector): 60% weight
- Section B – Logic and numerical capacity
- Block C – English language
Final selection process:
- Computer-based test (CBT): 85% weight in final score
- Personal Interview (PI): 15% weight in final score
Note: To proceed in selection, candidates will get at least 50% marks in both CBT and interview.

According to the NRL recruitment 2025 notification, the pay scale has been structured in this way, and the candidates are also entitled to the benefits throughout the training period for competitive allowances and benefits, as detailed below:
