Follow these steps to apply successfully:

1. Visit the official BUAT website i.e. www.buat.edu.in.
2. Download the prescribed Faculty Application Form for the concerned post.
3. Fill all the details carefully and attach self-attested copies of educational, experience and category certificates.

BUAT Faculty Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility requirements are as per UGC Regulations, 2018 and University norms. Candidates should have the required educational qualification, experience and research certificates for the concerned post.

• Assistant Professor: Master’s degree in relevant subject with NET qualification or Ph.D. As per UGC norms.
• Associate Professor: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with a strong research record and minimum number of publications.
• Professor: Ph.D. Degree with adequate teaching and research experience as per UGC guidelines.

BUAT Faculty Age Limit

• Assistant Professor: Upper age limit is 40 years as on the last date of application.
• Age Relaxation: OBC/SC/ST: 5 years, PWD: 15 years, Regular UP State Employees: 5 years
• No Age Limit: Applicable for Associate Professor and Professor posts.

BUAT Faculty Selection Process

The BUAT selection process is rigorous and transparent, following the UGC Regulations 2018.

For Assistant Professor:

Selection is conducted in two stages:

Phase I: Screening and Written Examination	Phase II: Teaching Skills Test and Interview
Shortlisting based on Academic Score Written test of 40 marks to assess subject knowledge. Objections can be raised online within the stipulated time after each publication of marks.	Shortlisted candidates appear for teaching skill test and interview. Candidates will have to give a PowerPoint presentation before students and faculty members. Final selection is based on performance in Teaching Skills Test (20 marks) and Interview (10 marks).

For Associate Professor and Professor:

• Screening based on Academic/Research Score
• Shortlisting for interview in the ratio of 10:1 for the first post and 5:1 for each additional post.
• Final selection is completely based on interview performance.

Selected candidates will be placed at the following academic levels with attractive salary and allowances as per UGC norms. Along with the basic salary, faculty members are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Traveling Allowance (TA), and other admissible benefits as per the rules of the University and State Government.
