rrb teacher eligibility criteria
RRB Railway Teacher eligibility criteria for all major vacancies are different for each post. The eligibility criteria include educational qualification, professional experience and age limit of the candidates. Candidates applying must ensure that they are eligible for the post they are applying for. Here we have prepared the complete RRB Railway Teacher Eligibility Criteria for each post:
For Post Graduate Teachers (PGT)
(a) Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
(B)B.Ed. Or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
(c) Proficiency in teaching in both English and Hindi medium.
For Trained-Graduate Teachers (TGT)
(i) Graduation in relevant subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.
Or
Graduation in relevant subject with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
Or
Graduation in relevant subject with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
Or
10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.Ed.).
Or
10+2 or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4 years BA/B.Sc. Or B.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
Or
Graduation with at least 50% marks in relevant subject and 1 year B.Ed. (special education).
And
(ii) Passing the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the guidelines framed by NCTE for this purpose.
And
(iii) Ability to teach through English medium.
Note: Candidates belonging to reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC/PWBD will be given relaxation of up to 5% in the qualifying marks.
For Primary Teachers (PRT)
(i) 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Or
10+2 or its equivalent with at least 45% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Or
10+2 or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Or
10+2 or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Or
Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
And
(ii) Passing the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE for this purpose.
And
(iii) Ability to teach in English medium.
Note: Candidates belonging to reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC/PWBD will be given relaxation of up to 5% in the qualifying marks.
For Assistant Teacher (Junior School)
(i) Candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name called).
Or
Candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 45% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (no matter the name).
Or
Candidate must have completed 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.Ed.).
Or
Candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Or
Candidate must be a graduate with 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (irrespective of name).
And
(ii) The candidate must have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the appropriate Government as per the guidelines of NCTE.
And
(iii) The candidate should be competent to teach in English medium.
Note: Reserved category candidates like SC/ST/OBC/PWBD will get relaxation of up to 5% in the qualifying marks.
for laboratory assistant
Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with specialization in Science. Additionally, they should have at least 1 year of experience working in a pathological and bio-chemical laboratory.
for music teacher
BA degree in Music as one of the subjects from a recognized university.
Or
10+2 or its equivalent with any one of the following:
1. Sangeet Visharad Examination of the Gandharava Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Bombay.
2. Music Vidyalaya Examination of Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairabad (Madhya Pradesh).
3. Sangeet Prabhakar Examination of Prayag Sangeet Samiti (Music Academy) Allahabad.
4. Sangeet Visharad Examination of Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Lucknow (formerly Morris College of Hindustani Music Lucknow).
5. Final examination of Madhav Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Lashkar.Gwalior.
6. Final examination of Shankar Gandharya Vidyalaya, Gwalior.
7. Sangeet Ratna Diploma awarded by Director, Education Department, Madhya Pradesh
for physical training instructor
(i) Graduate from a recognized University with Diploma in Physical Training from a recognized Institute.
Or
B.P.Ed. 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized university and from a recognized board.
(ii) Ability to impart physical education through English medium.
