Bihar Police SI Prelims Exam Pattern 2025
The preliminary examination will include a paper of 200 marks, which will have a total of 100 questions, which will have a period of 2 hours. Questions will be asked by general knowledge and current affairs. In this letter, candidates who score less than 80% will fail in the main examination.
- Bihar Police SI Prohibition Prelims Written Examination will include objective multiple choice questions.
- Each question has 02 marks.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.2 marks for each wrong answer.
- The duration of time for the exam is 2 hours (120 minutes).
- Based on the marks obtained in the preliminary examination, the total number of 20 times the number of vacancies will be called for the main.
Bihar Police Prohibition SI Mains Exam Pattern 2025
Bihar Police SI Main Exam will include two papers:
- First Paper: This is a general Hindi paper of 200 marks with 100 questions. A minimum of 30% marks should be obtained to pass. The mark found in this general Hindi paper will not be considered in the merit list.
- Second paper: This paper will cover questions from general studies, general science, Indian geography, political science, Indian history, mathematics and logic.
- Paper 1 is qualifying in nature, candidates are required to score 30% marks.
- Each question has 02 marks.
- Negative marking of 0.2 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- The duration of time for each paper is 02 hours.

Candidates who have cleaned the Bihar Police SI Main Exam will be called to appear for the Bihar Police SI Physical Examination. Candidates will be selected for PET test based on their performance as per the following parameters.

Bihar Police SI Prohibition Physical Standard Test 2025
Candidates who qualify for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be examined for the Physical Standards Testing (PST) i.e. height, chest and weight measurement. PST is qualifying in nature, no mark will be given for PST test. Candidates who do not meet the physical standard will be abolished.
