CSIR net eligibility criteria
To appear for CSIR NET June 2025, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria and age requirements:
- General/unreserved/general-IWS candidates should have 55% marks in a master’s degree or equivalent.
- OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PWD/Third gender candidates require 50% marks in master’s degree.
- Students of the final year master can apply provisionally, but should qualify for 2 years (for JRF/assistant professor) or 1 year (for PhD) from the net result declaration.
- 4-year-old graduate degree holders (with 75% marks or equivalent) are eligible for JRF and Ph.D. But not for the assistant professor.
- Ph.D. The holders who completed the master before 19 September 1991 got 5% discount
