The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) has been on the verge of its biggest change since installation. While CBSE has not officially confirmed this yet, reliable sources suggest that CTET 2025 can no longer stick to the traditional two-level structure. If implemented, this change can change the way the recruitment of teachers of India its school.
What is changing in CTET?
According to sources, the CTET exam is undergoing a major change. Earlier, it was divided into only two papers, namely Paper I for primary classes and paper II for upper primary. But now, the new education policy (NEP) aligning with 2020, the central teacher eligibility test will be restructured in four separate levels. This change is designed to reflect different stages of school education more accurately and improve the accuracy of teacher selection. From childhood education to senior secondary classes, each level will now have a dedicated CTET paper, which will make the process more specific and streamlined.
