Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the exam date notice regarding CTET exam date 2025 on 24th October 2025, and it is expected that the official notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be released on 25th October 2025. Candidates who want to become a teacher for primary and upper primary level have to qualify this eligibility test to be eligible to apply for various teaching recruitments across the country.
CTET Notification 2025-26
The detailed CTET Notification PDF will be uploaded on its official website www.ctet.nic.in on 24th October 2025. Candidates willing to appear for CTET 2025-26 exam must know all the important details like registration dates, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, etc.
No CTET exam in 2025; As the officials have released the exam date notice for CTET February 2026 it is mentioned that the exam will be conducted on 8th February 2026. Notification and application form is expected to be released soon.
What is CTET 2025-26?
CTET or Central Teacher Eligibility Test is a national level examination conducted by CBSE to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching posts in central government schools across India including Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas. The exam will be conducted in offline mode, which means it is a pen-and-paper exam. CTET exam consists of two papers:
Paper 1: For those candidates who want to teach class 1 to 5.
Paper 2: For those candidates who want to teach class 6 to 8.
Important dates for CTET 2025-2026
The application process will start on 25th October 2025 with the release of CTET February 2026 notification. The last date to apply online will be informed with the notification.

CTET February 2025-26 Eligibility
CTET consists of two papers: Paper 1 (Classes 1 to 5) and Paper 2 (6 to 8). The eligibility criteria for both the papers are discussed below.
CTET Paper I: For those who are interested in teaching class IV. Applicants must have a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or equivalent qualification, either completed or in the final year.
CTET Paper II: For classes VI-VIII. Eligibility requires graduation with a relevant degree such as B.Ed, B.Ed or similar degree.
Both papers can be given by qualified candidates who meet the requirements of each level.
CTET 2025-26 Application Fee
Only applications submitted along with application fee will be accepted and the fee is different for single and double paper.
