The first phase of selection is the preliminary examination. Questions will be asked from general knowledge, logic, current affairs and basic language skills section. The main objective of the prelims exam is to check if you are really ready to go to the next stage of the known exam as “Mains Examination”.
If you can pass the prelims exam somehow, you will be called for the main examination. This is the main objective to evaluate your deep knowledge in your chosen subject such as Odia, English, Hindi, Sanskrit or Urdu.
It examines your knowledge about grammar, literature, understanding and how well teaching methods you know. It also included questions about how to teach students in an easy, modern but systematic way.
The curriculum includes subjects like language history, grammar rules, poetry, prose, translation and writing skills. The course also includes subjects such as educational psychology and teaching skills.
To get a better score in the exam, you must have deep knowledge in your particular subject and also have a deep understanding about teaching students clearly. The next phase of recruitment for the educational year of 2026 will include jobs for teachers in art, science, languages and physical education.
