IIT Guwahati has started the GATE 2026 online application process. The applications were opened on 28 August 2025, and the last date is 28 September 2025. Late registration is allowed with fees, until October 9, 2025. This is an important opportunity for engineering, technology, architecture, science, humanities and art graduates and students to secure entry into employment in postgraduate programs or public sector undertakings (PSU).

How to apply online for Gate 2026?

Online application for GATE 2026 Exam is a direct process. To submit a smooth, candidates must carefully follow these steps:

• Register: Visit the official Gate 2026 website and register on the GOAPS portal to create an account and get the user ID and password.
• Fill the form: Log in using your credentials and fill the application form with your personal details, educational qualifications and other necessary information.
• Upload the document: Recently upload passport-shaped color photo, your signature and a valid photo ID. Make sure they complete the specified format and size.
• Payment Fee: Pay the application fee electronically using debit card, credit card, net banking, wallet, or UPI
