IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2024
The first stage of IBPS PO 2024 exam is Prelims which works as a screening round.
- IBPS PO Preliminary stage consists of three sections and its total duration is 1 hour.
- The preliminary examination will have a total of 100 multiple choice questions for a maximum of 100 marks.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- To qualify, candidates must meet the minimum cut-off marks set by IBPS in all tests.

IBPS PO Main Exam Pattern 2024
Candidates who qualify for the preliminary round will become eligible to appear for the main examination, which is the second stage of the IBPS PO 2024 selection process.
- The IBPS PO Main Exam consists of four sections, and an additional section for the descriptive exam, which will be conducted separately on the same exam date.
- In the main examination, the question paper will have both objective and subjective type for 200 marks and 25 marks respectively.
- The questions asked in Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, English Language and Data Analysis and Interpretation are divided into sections A and B. Questions from Section A carry 2 marks and questions from Section B carry 1 mark.
- Reasoning and Computer Aptitude consists of 15 questions from Section A and 30 questions from Section B.
- Out of total 35 questions on English Language, 5 are from Section A and 30 are from Section B.
- In Data Analysis and Interpretation, 25 questions are from Section A and 10 questions are from Section B.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
