The designation was named and the payment scale was officially published
- The post was renamed “Customer service associate“(CSA) (First: Clerk).
- Publication of detailed consolidated pay scale for the first time.
- Original Salary: ₹ 24,050 – ₹ 64,480 with structured increment.

Local language proficiency is now mandatory
- Candidates must be efficient in the local language of the state/they apply.
- Reading, writing, speaking and intelligent skills is required.
- If language is studied in 10th grade or more, the language test is exempted.
- Others should clean a local language proficiency test (LLPT) after the main.
Revised main exam pattern
- Total questions were reduced by 190 ➝ 155
- Exam duration decreased by 160 minutes ➝ 120 minutes
