Eligibility
For Junior Overman (Trainee) Post, candidates should have a diploma in mining or mining engineering or have any same qualification approved by the central government.
They should also keep a certificate of a valid overman of qualification from DGMS according to the regulation 2017 of coal mines or any other certificate that allows them to work as an overman under those rules. Additionally, a valid first aid certificate is required.
For the post mining Sirdar (selection grade-i) post, candidates should have either:
- A diploma or degree in any discipline (except mining engineering), as well as mining Sirdar Certificate issued by DGMS and a valid first aid certificate,
Or - A diploma in mining, an overman qualification certificate issued by DGMS, and a valid first aid certificate.

- Age rest for OBC (Non-Creeme Layer)/SC/EX-Servicemen candidates will be according to the guidelines of the Government of India. Valid certificates should be uploaded during registration.
- In a post, in case of no reservation for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, candidates applying under these categories for unreserved vacancies will be considered normal, and no age discount will be given.
- Ex -servicemen (ESM) age rest will be according to the norms of the Government of India.
- The age limit does not apply to NLCIL or current employees of its assistant/joint enterprises, provided they have a significant 2 -year remaining service, which is in the form of important date.
- In all cases, the maximum age limit is 58 years on a significant date.
