SSC GD Exam Date 2025 Out, CBT Exam Starts on 4th February


Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has notified that the Computer Based Examination for SSC GD Constable posts has been scheduled for 14 days from 4th to 25th February 2025. Each day, the exam will be conducted in three to four shifts. Lakhs of SSC aspirants have applied for the exam after completing their 10th education and are now preparing well for the exam. Selected candidates will be recruited for the general duty post of Constable (GD) in BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR and SSF forces.

SSC GD Exam Date 2025 Released

This year, SSC has announced 39481 vacancies for General Duty Constable posts for which Computer Based Test, Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test will be conducted to select eligible candidates. To get selected for the vacancies, candidates have to appear in all the stages and score more than the cut off of that particular stage. Since the exam dates for the first phase i.e. SSC GD CBT have already been announced before 4th February 2025, the candidates who have submitted their applications should speed up their exam preparations as the exam is coming closer.

SSC GD Exam Date 2025 Official Notice

The exact dates of SSC GD 2025 for Rifleman (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), SSF, Assam Rifles and Constable in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination, 2025 has been announced through an official notice on www. ssc.gov.in. CBT exam is scheduled on 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 25 February 2025. More details regarding exam date and shift time of the concerned candidate will be given. SSC GD Admit Card 2025 is declared through which is expected by the end of March 2025.

The first stage of the recruitment process i.e. Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be conducted to shortlist the candidates for physical test. The exam will have 80 multiple choice questions each of 2 marks, i.e. total marks will be 160. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

The subjects covered in SSC GD CBT exam are-

  1. General Intelligence and Reasoning- 20 questions
  2. General Knowledge and General Awareness- 20 questions
  3. Elementary Mathematics – 20 questions
  4. English/Hindi Language – 20 questions

The minimum qualifying marks for SSC GD Constable are as follows-

  1. UR- 30%
  2. OBC/EWS- 25%
  3. All other categories- 20%

After qualifying the first stage, candidates will have to appear for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). The list of final shortlisted candidates will be released later after the medical examination is conducted.
