TS TET Syllabus & New Exam Pattern 2024
TS TET Exam Pattern 2024 consists of objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), total 150 questions per paper, each correct answer carries 1 mark and there is no negative marking for wrong answers. The examination is conducted in English and candidate’s chosen language-I. It consists of two papers: Paper-I for candidates aiming for teaching positions in classes 1 to 5, and Paper-II for candidates aiming to teach classes 6 to 8. - Candidates have to select Language-I from the languages ​​offered for both Paper-I and Paper-II in TS TET Exam 2024.
- Paper-I Languages: Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Hindi, Bengali, Urdu and Gujarati.
- Paper-II Languages: Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi and Sanskrit.
- The chosen Language-I should be studied as a medium of instruction or as a first language at least till class 10.
- Language-II should be English for all candidates.
- The Mathematics and EVS section in Paper-I will cover content based on Class 1-5, but the difficulty level will be of secondary standard (up to Class 10) to assess the aptitude and knowledge of the candidates. This section will consist of 24 questions on content and 6 questions on subject pedagogy.
- Both Paper-I and Paper-II will have 30 questions each in Language-I and Language-II section, with 6 questions on Language Pedagogy in each section.
- The content of Child Development and Pedagogy will be based on: Primary Level for Paper-I and Primary Level for Paper-II.
- Paper-II will have 30 questions on Mathematics in Mathematics and Science section, including 6 questions on Mathematics Pedagogy. The Science section is divided into: 12 questions on Physical Sciences (content-based) and 12 questions on Biological Sciences (content-based) and 6 questions on Science Pedagogy.
- Social Studies section in Paper-II will cover History, Civics and Geography. Out of total 60 questions, 48 ​​are content-based questions and 6 questions are on subject pedagogy.
- The syllabus of Mathematics, Science and Social Studies in Paper-II will be based on the subjects of class 6-8.
- The Language-I and Language-II syllabus in both Paper-I and Paper-II will assess the candidates’ communication, comprehension ability and proficiency in the language and its elements.
