WBMSC Selection Process 2025
The selection process consists of two stages: first, written examination (objective-based) and second, personality test. After meeting the specific eligibility criteria, candidates will be eligible to appear for the personality test. First step: written exam test
- The written examination will be OMR based and will consist of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs).
- Each correct answer carries 2 marks, making the paper a total of 200 marks. There is negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.

Step 2: personality test
- The examination will be based on the results of the written examination; Candidates scoring above the cut-off will be shortlisted. The number of candidates called for personality test will be three times the number of vacancies. Before appearing, candidates will have to undergo document verification. - OBC: 40%
- SC/ST/PWD: 35%
