WB Slst 2025 Eligibility
Assistant Teachers for IX and X classes in schools-
a) From a recognized university from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in graduation or post graduation from a graduate / post graduate (or its equivalent) and a NCTE from Graduate Education (B.ED.) from an NCTE recognized institute,
Or
(B) 4 -year degree BA Ed/B.Sc. Ed. From any NCTE-recognized institute.
Assistant teachers for XI & XII classes in schools
(A) Post Graduate and Bachelor of Education from NCTE recognized institute with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from a recognized university;
Or
Ed. From any NCTE recognized institute.
Assistant teachers for upper primary level of classes in schools
(A) He should be entitled to minimal qualification, as determined by
NCTE for assistant teachers for upper primary level of classes on or before the date of application.
(c) Passes in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) are to be conducted by the state government suitable by the guidelines made by NCTE for purpose.
